Syntax Radio turns books into music.
What if forbidden knowledge were seductive enough to make you keep looking?
In H. P. Lovecraft’s The Call of Cthulhu, discovery is not simply frightening. It is irresistible. Every fragment of information promises another piece of the mystery—even as understanding begins to reveal something humanity may have been better off never knowing.
This original instrumental transforms that idea into Abyssal Noir Trip-Hop.
A deep, seductive bass hook and restrained trip-hop groove draw the listener inward, while dark jazz harmony, baritone saxophone and submerged electronic textures gradually destabilize what initially feels sophisticated and controlled.
The central motif keeps returning, but something is slightly different each time: a displaced note, an unresolved chord, a missing beat, an echo returning from somewhere impossibly distant. The deeper the music goes, the more attractive—and less trustworthy—it becomes.
The musical idea mirrors the literary one: knowledge is the temptation.
By the end, the seductive surface begins to disappear, revealing the enormous low-frequency presence that had been underneath the music all along.
Syntax Radio turns books into music.
Each track takes an idea, character, place, psychological tension or philosophical question from literature and transforms it into its own musical identity.
The book chooses the music. Experience books acoustically.
