Cycling a Winding Mountain Road Behind a Car

From the bike I follow a car up a winding mountain road, the computer's speed hovering around forty kilometres an hour while my heart rate climbs. The yellow centre line hugs the gleaming asphalt, with grassy slopes beyond the guardrail. The car ahead swings through one bend after another.
