Built to Last is a faith-driven coming-of-age story inspired by true events from my life. After the sudden loss of my partner, I found myself navigating grief, identity, and the weight of dreams we once shared. In the film, we follow Essence, a young woman who transforms heartbreak into purpose as she travels from Philadelphia to Los Angeles in pursuit of the creative life she once imagined. Through sisterhood, artistry, and an unexpected resurgence of courage, she discovers that resilience isn’t something you’re given; it’s something you build.
