Kolkata to Arunachal on Xpulse | Day 4: Dirang to Tawang via Sela Pass + Bumla Pass - The Ultimate Winter Ride The coldest, toughest and most beautiful day of this ride so far! Started from Dirang in sub-zero morning, climbed up to the mighty Sela Pass (13,700 ft) completely covered in black ice and snow, and then pushed further to the Indo-China border at Bumla Pass (15,200 ft) and back to Tawang. From Kolkata plains to the Himalayas in peak winter - this is what riding a Hero Xpulse 200 4V in Arunachal really feels like. Sela Pass gets closed after 3 PM in winter - start early. 2. Bumla Pass permit is mandatory, apply a day before at Tawang DC office. 3. Carry snow chains, waterproof gloves, and -10°C layers. 4.
