Oingo Boingo — Live at The Beverly Theatre, Los Angeles (11/12/86) — Full Concert with Encore This is a fun one for a few reasons. This wasn't a regular public show — it was an “invite-only” gig just for members of the band's fan club, the Oingo Boingo Secret Society. Plus, it was broadcast via satellite to various college campuses. So it's a bit of a different vibe than the usual arena or amphitheater footage floating around. One thing that caught my eye watching it back: you get some nice close-up shots of Julie Christensen on backup vocals, singing alongside Carl Graves — who'd later join the band full-time as their keyboardist. Oingo Boingo didn't have a female backup singer very often, so it's cool to have decent footage of that lineup. The other thing: this upload has the full encore included. So you get two extra songs at the end — "Violent Love" and "Only a Lad”.
