In Part Two of “The Fear of the Lord,” Regan Rona continues the challenge to live with genuine reverence, submission and obedience before God.
Using Abraham’s willingness to obey God concerning Isaac, Regan explores what obedience looks like when following God becomes costly. Abraham did not simply say that he feared God. His obedience demonstrated the posture of his heart.
The fear of the Lord reminds us that true wisdom is not found in our education, experience, intelligence or the opinions of the world. It begins with recognising that God’s wisdom is greater than our own and seeking Him first in our marriages, finances, careers, relationships, ministry and everyday decisions.
We are also challenged to remain humble, teachable and accountable, and to stop becoming comfortable with the very things God calls evil. The fear of the Lord should change how we live even when nobody is watching.
This message calls us beyond comfortable Christianity and into a life that truly honours God through the choices we make every day.
Revere Him. Submit to Him. Obey Him. Let the fear of the Lord shape every area of your life.
