The Feast of the Holy Guardian Angels | Teaching on Angels, Their Choirs & Missions (2 October)

There is an invisible world surrounding us—and it is far more active than most of us realize. On the Feast of the Holy Guardian Angels, this sermon explores the immense spiritual creation of God and the role angels play in our lives, the Church, the natural world, and the battle for souls. Angels aren't chubby babies from religious artwork. They are powerful spiritual beings with intellect and will. And Catholic theology teaches that every human being has an individual Guardian Angel whose mission is to help that person reach Heaven. But Guardian Angels are only part of the story. We explore the nine choirs of angels and their different missions: the Seraphim, Cherubim and Thrones worshiping before God; the Dominions, Virtues and Powers associated in this sermon with order in creation and resistance to evil spirits; and the Principalities, Archangels and Angels entrusted with the guardianship of mankind and communities. The sermon also considers angels at the Holy Mass, Guardian Angels of families, churches, dioceses and nations, spiritual warfare, and the reality that our actions have consequences in an unseen spiritual battle. Finally, we hear something profoundly practical: Become friends with the angels. Pray to your Guardian Angel. Ask his help. Ask him to intercede for you. You can even ask your angel to appeal to another person's angel when you're struggling to reach them. The invisible world isn't far away. It is all around us. 👼 Holy Guardian Angels, pray for us! 00:00 Feast of the Holy Guardian Angels 00:21 The Invisible Society Around Us 00:47 How Much of God's Creation Can We See? 01:09 Angels Have Intellect & Will 01:24 Raphael, Tobias & Angelic Personality 02:04 Why People Once Understood Angels Better 02:11 The World Is a Battleground for Souls 02:27 Guardian Angels Aren't Just for Children 02:43 Angels Are Powerful Beings 02:52 Everyone Has a Guardian Angel 03:08 Your Angel Before the Throne of God 03:32 Your Guardian Angel in Heaven & Purgatory 04:03 Every Angel Has a Mission 04:27 The Nine Choirs of Angels 05:00 Angels Surrounding the Throne of God 05:16 The Burning Love of the Seraphim 05:30 Angels at Every Holy Mass 06:09 It's Never “Just” a Private Mass 06:25 Angels & Order in the Universe 06:49 Angels, Planets, Galaxies & Creation 07:27 Angels & the Natural World 07:42 St. Ambrose: Everything Is Full of Angels 08:07 Angels Helping Lost Travelers 09:31 The Ember Days & Catholic Creation 10:38 The Powers & Fallen Angels 10:46 The Spiritual Battle Around Us 11:58 Guardian Angels of Places & Churches 12:06 Angels of Cities, Nations & Families 12:45 Why Catholics Bless Their Homes 13:10 The Spiritual World Is Real 13:35 Angels Assigned to Mankind 13:58 Can Someone Have More Than One Angel? 14:07 Angels of Priests, Bishops & Leaders 14:39 Angels of Families, Churches & Dioceses 14:55 Principalities & Guardian Angels of Nations 15:28 The Incredible Angelic Network 16:06 Friendships Between Angels 16:22 Can an Angel Become Your Friend? 16:39 Ask Your Angel to Speak to Someone Else's Angel 16:47 A Remarkable Personal Story 17:33 Your Guardian Angel as a “Spiritual Spell Checker” 17:57 Raphael Bringing Prayers Before God 18:05 Thank God for the Angels 18:23 Honor the Angels as God's Faithful Friends 18:38 Speak to Your Guardian Angel 18:46 Closing Blessing #GuardianAngels #CatholicFeastDay #FeastOfTheAngels #CatholicTeaching #CatholicFaith #GuardianAngel #HolyAngels #SpiritualWarfare #CatholicChurch #CatholicTradition #AngelsAndDemons 🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴 ✝️ SUPPORT THE MISSION 🙏 Donate https://sensusfidelium.com/donate-sup... 📬 Free Catholic Newsletter https://sensusfidelium.com/newsletter/ 📰 Read on Substack https://sensusfidelium.substack.com/ ──────────────────── 📺 WATCH & READ 📺 Sensus Fidelium App https://sensusfidelium.tv/ 📚 Sensus Fidelium Press https://sensusfideliumpress.com/ 👕 Official Merchandise https://sensusfidelium.com/merchandise/ ──────────────────── 🤝 PARTNER WITH US 📣 Advertise on Sensus Fidelium https://sensusfidelium.com/advertise-... 🎤 Invite Steve Cunningham to Speak https://sensusfidelium.com/speaking/ ⛪ Parish Formation & Consultation https://sensusfidelium.com/for-parishes/ ──────────────────── 🌎 CATHOLIC COMMUNITY ✝️ Trusted Catholic Businesses https://sensusfidelium.com/catholic-b... 🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴
