Utilizing all components of the soybean, from oil to meal to hulls, products are now broadly available that capitalize on the novel composition of soybeans which simultaneously adds value to the manufacturer, consumer, and farmer. This presentation will also cover research efforts under way to expand the use of renewable soy-based chemistry in other new industrial applications, including water-resistant wood adhesives, bioplastics, surfactants for cleaning products, fire-fighting foam, industrial grade refined high oleic soybean oil (IHOSO), and more.
