One of the reasons for this video is to bring up something regarding Battlefield 5 design and not putting focus on solo gameplay. That main difference being that some are designed well enough or support the idea of solo gameplay or some random player joining a server alone and having a satisfying experience ( e.g., FUN ). This was something I brought up when talking to the DICE devs at Gamescom. That is that previous Battlefield games like BC2 and BF3 did so well because they supported solo gameplay whether intentionally or accidently, it was interesting seeing them come to that realization when I brought this up with them. If the random solo player has fun playing the game online then you guarantee a larger player pool for the multiplayer aspect of the game.
Some design examples of this are full kit switching, allowing you to easily pick up another teammate's or enemy's kit and performing an action related to their kit/class like revive a teammate or give ammo. Another example would be not allowing Medic/Support classes to unequip health and ammo boxes. As well as using boxes instead of small bags as it supports passive or easier teamplay with proximity healing and resupplying ( forcing a random noob to constantly throw bags to heal people is often times too much for casual players so having them drop a box to heal themselves means they heal everyone around them, also it would reduce 3D UI clutter ).
Another big example or difference is flag/objective capture duration or the time it takes to capture one in BF5 vs almost every other Battlefield game. For example as a solo infantry player on a map like Panzerstorm in the Conquest game mode it takes around 80 seconds to capture a flag solo if ticket count is even or above the enemy team's ticket count ( I wonder if they have some obsession with 1.33 ). That is with zero enemy players spawning in on the flag and halting the capture. That is an absurd amount of time especially with how many times enemies can respawn during that time-frame. So what does that really mean for BF5 Well you could say it's forcing a zerg model like Planetside 2 does where it doesn't support small unit actions when it comes to objectives or to put it simply if you aren't part of the zerg you won't be able to capture anything.
I'll talk more about this topic and related items in the other videos like this, there is a text limit to video descriptions. Have a great weekend :)
Some of this is a biproduct from hunting cheaters while the rest is from testing different hardware and settings. I wasn't initially trying to get this kind of footage so I thought I'd turn it into something else.
