Can Season 5 Live Up to Expectations?

The Battlefield 6 Season 5 trailer is here, and my reaction is equal parts excitement and morbid curiosity. Season 5 is stacked on paper: three new maps including a Las Vegas standout, reworked Blackwell and Sobek, six new weapons, two new vehicles, a new Operation connecting Area 51 and Vegas, Platoons, persistent servers, the long-awaited Server Browser, and a Dead Space Halloween event. RedSec gets Rapid Royale, ranked BR changes, and the Open Series tournaments. But I'm tempering expectations. Season 4 ended with botched patch notes, bot-filled servers, and player counts sitting at all-time lows, and it's clear DICE has been holding resources and features back to go head to head with Modern Warfare and GTA 6. With a million dollars riding on RedSec while Gauntlet gets cut, the pressure is on.
