LIVE: Netanyahu Speaks To ‘Hero Pilot’ Smit Machchhar | Flydubai Cockpit Horror Recalled | PM Modi

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has spoken with Flydubai Captain Smit Machchhar, praising the Indian pilot for his actions during the terrifying cockpit incident aboard Flight FZ1073. Machchhar told Netanyahu that the attack began suddenly after his co-pilot asked to pray. He described being struck repeatedly, realising the aircraft was descending and making what he called “one last fight” to reach and open the cockpit door. The door opening allowed passengers and crew to enter the cockpit and help overpower the attacker, while additional pilots aboard the aircraft took control and safely landed the plane in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. The flight had 174 people aboard. Netanyahu praised Machchhar as a hero and invited him and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Israel's Independence Day ceremony. The investigation into the cockpit incident remains ongoing. #SmitMachchhar #Netanyahu #BenjaminNetanyahu #Flydubai #FZ1073 #HeroPilot #IndianPilot #FlydubaiHorror #CockpitAttack #AviationNews #Israel #Dubai #TelAviv #BreakingNews #WorldNews CNN-News18 is your trusted source for breaking news, updates, and in-depth analysis from around the world.
