Let's Fix Enhancement Shamans in WoW Forever

We asked a computer to find the best Enhancement Shaman possible on WoW Forever. It took Windfury off the weapon, and then it took the melee gear off too. One small rule is behind it: finishing a hard cast sends your swing back to zero. Here's what that rule does to how you play, and what happens if it ever gets fixed. Our sim results (60 s, level 60, raid buffed, pre-raid gear, Windfury Totem from another Shaman): Spell power: Orc 685 DPS, Dwarf 668 DPS Windfury on the weapon: Orc 658 DPS, Dwarf 639 DPS Full melee gear: Orc about 624 DPS What if Lightning Bolt stopped touching your swing: Orc 754 DPS, Dwarf 730 DPS (a what-if, not a change anyone announced) Without a Windfury Totem: about 70 DPS less, and on our numbers Windfury on the weapon comes out ahead. Grain of salt: the gear pool is datamined, the rate you collect Maelstrom Weapon stacks in our sim is an estimate, and we measured the swing reset on Druids. We'll redo this when real data lands.
