8 hours of gentle rain sounds for sleep, as heard from the veranda of a Japanese temple garden — just the soft rain and the occasional "kon" of a bamboo fountain (shishi-odoshi), all night long.
No music. No thunder. No sudden sounds. No build-ups. The volume stays low all night.
AMADERA — 雨寺 (Rain Temple)
Sit on the wooden veranda of a quiet temple in Kyoto, under the roof, out of the rain.
Rain falls softly on the moss and the stones of the garden. Every few minutes, far back in the garden, a bamboo fountain fills, tips, and knocks once against the stone — kon.
Nothing to follow. Nothing to do. Just the rain.
There is no music in this video — only the rain and the bamboo fountain, from the first minute to the last. The fountain is mixed quietly and far away, so it will not wake you.
🌧 Good for
・Falling asleep and staying asleep
・Rain sounds with no thunder and no heavy downpour
・Quiet reading, studying, or working
・Winding down at the end of the day
🎧 Tip
Keep the volume low — just loud enough to hear the rain.
Headphones or soft speakers both work well.
