This is an unstructured rant about how nowadays it is very difficult to get spares to repair machinery. The quill and the shaft of this Pillar Drill developed a lot of play so that I could not use them for metal. This type of tool is fundamental to the work I do as I sometimes have to drill out broken bolts and studs and I need absolute precision Had to source another one but got lucky as I managed to trace one locally and selling my old one from spares nearly made enough money to cover the costs.
