Before we build: Inside the mockup spaces shaping The Ottawa Hospital's new campus

The Ottawa Hospital's new campus is the largest health-care infrastructure project in our city's history. To ensure the new hospital meets the needs of patients, families, visitors and staff for generations to come, every detail is being carefully tested before construction is complete. Built to scale, these mockup spaces mirror the dimensions, layouts and furnishings of some of the most common spaces throughout the new hospital. They have been evaluated by staff, physicians, patients and members of our patient and family advisory committees through simulations and real-world testing to help refine the final designs. Take a tour of the mockup spaces and get a glimpse of the future of care at The Ottawa Hospital.
