GPT-6 Astra scored 99.9% on ARC-AGI. But there’s a catch nobody is talking about. I tested Astra on real legacy code from my work, compared it with Opus 4.8 and Fable, and the results were… interesting. There’s also a very interesting detail behind that 99.9% benchmark score. OpenAI’s own harness was used to achieve that result. Without the harness, the same model on the same benchmark reportedly scores much lower — around 60–70%. So is the model itself that good? Or is the real breakthrough in how we build the systems around the model?
