Visiting the Largest Tank in the Western Hemisphere + Brand New Freshwater Exhibit 🐟

I love visiting the Georgia Aquarium. I actually grew up in Atlanta, not too far from this very aquarium! When it first opened in 2005, the Ocean Voyager tank holding 6.3 million gallons of water , was the largest tank in the whole world. It has since been surpassed by a tank in Hengqin , China which holds over 12 million gallons in just one tank! The Georgia Aquarium is also a non profit organization! Every time I visit I learn about a new conservation project they are working on. This visit I learned that when the zebra sharks in the Ocean Voyager exhibit lay eggs, they are taken out and relocated to their natural habitat to help rebuild the wild population. I loved the new addition to the river scout exhibit that offered a Birds Eye view of the crocodiles. Certified fun for all ages.
