A decade on, she has written six operas with themes ranging from Princess Diana to the Brontë sisters and Greta Thunberg, all the while keeping her legal career for the security it brings. In this episode she talks to Patsy about the moment the talent revealed itself, why she went back to King's College London for a Masters in Composition, and how her legal career and her composing feed each other rather than compete. She explains why she writes strong women into opera, where so often the female roles have been courtesans and victims, and offers grounded advice for any woman wondering whether her own second act is still possible. About Lisa Logan: Lisa Logan is a media and entertainment lawyer and opera composer. A former choral scholar at Cambridge, she began composing about ten years ago, after taking over her son's composing lessons, and went on to do a master's in composition at King's College London. She has written operas about Princess Diana, the Brontë sisters and Greta Thunberg, is an ambassador for English National Opera and sits on ENO's Insights Council. She has kept her legal career going alongside her composing.
