Both Sides the Tweed

This song, based off of old text, was adapted by the wonderful Dick Gaughan (who also put this beautiful melody to it). The original text relayed the wrongdoing of the treaty of 1707, whereby Scotland lost its independence. He revived/adapted these lyrics in relevance to a similar injustice in 1979, where a clause on the voting system ruled that no votes counted as votes against, despite the majority of Scots wishing to regain independence.
