A moving time capsule Shot from the car, we travel along Harbor Road, on to Middle Road with a stop to look at some cows in front of a private home on South Shore Road passing multiple beaches and bays. Returning on Harbor Road, our next stop is Fort Hamilton with a panorama of the back of town (good look at the Sherwood Hotel), Hamilton looking West (old police station), and the harbor the docks are unloading containers, and a cruise ship docked on Front Street. We continue looking East to Red Hole and the Royal Hamilton Armature Dingy Club with a single pier which is much enlarged today. Waterville at the Foot of the Lane, and finely over Cavendish Heights where today you would see the ugly Hospital building in the distance (opened in 2013). Next stop is Pomander Road, with the old bus garage in the distance, where someone rows out to their moored boat. In Hamilton, we enjoy the view from Albouy’s Point and, smash cut, we drive into Hamilton and along Front Street. Flatts inlet is next with a boat on the slip and the Coral Island Hotel is still in operation. Over the causeway, and we end our tour at Ferry Reach looking at the Astor Estate. And yes... we noticed the spelling mistake in the opening credits too! Just not soon enough...
