After spending a year quietly caring for her dying mother, Lisa chalked up her own exhaustion to burnout, until a gastroenterologist for her son turned into her own life-changing diagnosis. What followed was a mass covering most of her liver, a rare bile duct cancer called cholangiocarcinoma, and a prognosis of just six months to live.
Sixteen years, eight tumors, and five recurrences later, Lisa is still here, and she's spent every day since helping other patients find the hope she almost didn't have.
Thank you, Lisa, for sharing your story to help others.
