David the king also rejoiced greatly.” David willingly offered his most precious possessions for the building of God's temple. His heart of devotion inspired the leaders, and people from different walks of life came together to give freely. Some offered gold and silver, others brought precious stones, each giving from what they had. Their love for God became a willingness to give, and their hearts united in a shared joy. Even the smallest act of kindness, the quiet efforts no one notices, and the love woven into our ordinary days— Nothing has to be grand or extraordinary. When we offer what we have with hearts turned toward the Lord, our everyday lives become a beautiful act of worship.
