First of all, 3 elephants in the room: 1) I take damage from explosion, after raven phase. No way to stop this with knife. 2) I have to shoot at the end at least 5 times to prevent explosion. It’s possible to hit her with knife afterwards, but then there is no way to avoid damage, since I can reach her, only when she hits me, and 2 hits are required to stumble her. Point is - it’s an exception either way, and even game’s achievement allows guns here. Plus, this QTE does not consume ammo, I had 0/0 and still was able to finish her. 3) I turned HUD off, because otherwise for the duration of the fight, there would be notification “pick up handgun ammo”, which Miranda constantly drops all over the arena. It would be annoying. Note, in this vid I went for consistency, somewhat sacrificing speed. This fight shows, how to avoid pretty much everything she can throw at you, but there are few ways to hit her more and faster. Miranda’s phases: 1 - Human. Uses 3 attacks in random order: black wave (hits far ahead); strike with both hands + swirl; triple hit. Periodically goes below the ground, summons 2 pillars and rain of fire, from which pillars can protect. 2 - Spider. Can attack directly ahead if I’m close, and has 3 random attacks - rushing, while hitting with front legs + strike ahead; jump from above; side-to-side jumps (1 or 2) + strike ahead if I’m close. 3 - Raven. Her attacks are: 3 fireballs; rushing into player, then either rushing again (if player is far away) or slow descend and strike with both hands. 4 - Starts with explosion. It cannot be stopped with knife. Then, 4 attacks from darkness - all of those are strikes with both hands. Then rain of fire, and finally phase starts to become randomized. Now, Miranda can take all 3 forms with same attacks, but also transform after every 1-3 strikes. Human-Raven - similar to swirl attack, hits all around. Human-Spider - also hits all around, but gives more time to react to. Spider-Human - hits all abound, also summons 8 dark waves, that go into all directions. Spider-Raven - does not hit, but instantly summons fireballs. Raven-Spider - similar to spider’s jump. Raven-Human - similar to slow descending attack, but faster. Sadly, there is no way to describe every single combination of her attacks and possible counterattacks in 5000 symbols. So, I’ll just describe her worst strikes vs knife only. 1) Raven-spider transform instantly after fireballs. Happens after human-raven transformation (~1/4 chance). It can be heard, but it’s not very loud. Main problem here, you have to run somewhere nonstop from both fireballs and that transformation, which may not be possible, if you start too early or move in wrong direction. 2) Spider-human transformation. Normally, not a problem, if you’re not using a knife - because the farther you are, the more space there is between the waves + I think they do have a maximum range. But a knifer must learn a specific skill running back form Miranda and moving clock- or counterclockwise for 22.5 degrees, which will put you exactly between 2 waves (that have 45 degrees between each other). Only practice will help here. 3) After spider-raven transformation, if she’s above you, sometimes she just moves side-to-side twice, basically, returning, leaving you no chance of dodging fireballs. To make sure she doesn’t do that, make her face you as she transforms, and hit her once - she will retreat every time. 4) If she goes into darkness from being in human form (if she moved at all, while being human), after light turns on - don’t hit her, she can turn into raven at any moment. Otherwise, it’s the best time to hit her ~6-8 times, while she dances around. 5) At the very end, to start the shooting sequence, Miranda must be in human form. So, any hit will make her transform from spider or raven into human out of nowhere. And in case you’re hitting raven from below, she may hit you almost instantly, while transforming. I have no idea if it’s even possible to dodge from every position, but closer to the end of the fight, it’s dangerous to hit her from below. 6) Shooting sequence is actually not trivial to complete with no damage. It has 4 small phases, that require 5,2,2 and 2 shots each. But in last 3 parts, she can only be stunned after attack animation starts. And if you shoot her 2nn time too early, it will reset her state, so you will have to shoot 2 more times. Normally, there is enough time for 2 shots, but another factor may come in - her wings sometimes get in a way and those are immune to damage. So, consistent way to get through 2nd and 3rd part is to shoot her once at the beginning of each part, then wait until wing is out of the way and then shoot her 2nd time, as she will start attacking animation at this point already. 1st part is easy, she must be shot 5 times, but at any point. And 4th part is also easy - last shot must be landed after she gets closer, but there is more than enough time and nothing can block your shots.
