The Hedge Witch's Cottage 🎃 Cosy Halloween Ambience | Fire, Rain & Cauldron for Sleep

On All Hallows' Eve, Old Mother Hawthorn keeps the night for the village. Her thatched cottage sits where Dimmerby's lane gives out onto the moor. The turnip lanterns on her gate light themselves, the cauldron bubbles over the fire, and the rain comes and goes against the leaded windows. Soot, the churchyard cat, always turns up on her doorstep this one night of the year. She stirs her brew, reads by candlelight and knits by the fire while a barn owl watches from the hawthorn and a hare sits up in the heather. At midnight she takes her cloak and broom and flies out across the moon to look over the parish. She is home before dawn with the kettle on. 🎃 Moments to look out for 00:00 The gate lanterns light themselves 01:22 Soot comes up the lane 03:51 Inside: the fire, the cauldron and Soot asleep 06:54 She stirs the cauldron 12:58 A barn owl in the hawthorn 17:44 A hare in the heather 20:55 Reading by candlelight 27:24 Rain sets in over the moor 31:02 Rain on the window 35:47 Knitting by the fire 45:20 Midnight: cloak and broom, and a flight across the moon 45:36 The empty room at midnight 54:00 Home before dawn with a pot of tea 57:03 Dawn on the moor 🔥 What you'll hear Crackling fire · bubbling cauldron · rain on the window · wind over the moor · owls · a ticking clock · pages turning · knitting needles · tea being poured · Soot purring · soft original music --- A calm, slowly living hour, made to run quietly in the background.
