This is a story about motion, about trusting the road ahead. On day two of my American Southwest road trip, we drove through border towns, bird trails, and a desert community called Patagonia, Arizona. What I found, beyond the sun and silence, were familiar stories in unfamiliar places — people, like me, who once longed for change and dared to move toward it. As I travel, I’m learning not to hold on so tightly. There’s comfort in being a passerby, in seeing without needing to belong. Maybe life isn’t about staying — maybe it’s about moving, listening, and letting things come and go.
