Construction at Kabul International Cricket Complex Progressing According to the 2026 Work Plan Construction at the Kabul International Cricket Complex is advancing in the Alokhail area of Kabul Province with the development of the (B) and (C) grounds. These two additional grounds are being built alongside the main field to enhance cricket facilities. Each ground will include a pavilion equipped with rooms and essential amenities to accommodate players and meet their needs. In addition to the (B) and (C) grounds, a major national cricket academy is also under construction within the complex. The academy will feature 25 practice pitches of various types to support cricket training and development. According to the project’s operational plan, construction of these facilities is expected to be completed within the next seven months. Meanwhile, the construction of the complex's 1,600-meter boundary wall is approximately 80% finished, with the remaining section expected to be completed soon. The decoration project for the northern perimeter wall of the Kabul International Cricket Complex, measuring 400 metres in length and 3.5 metres in height, has been designed using travertine stone. The design also includes designated spaces for advertisements by financial partners. The design phase of the project has been completed, and the procurement process is nearing completion. Practical implementation is expected to commence in the near future, following the selection and announcement of the successful contractor. Plans are in place to construct a 1,600-meter road, a pedestrian walkway, and landscaped green spaces alongside the boundary wall of the Kabul International Cricket Complex. The design phase for this project has been completed, and the procurement process is currently underway.
