Hit CLASSICAL HIGH NOTES in this CHAT FREE warm up routine with vocal coaching | MusicForMy... Voice

Singing is wonderfully diverse and there are different placements and techniques for singing in all these diverse ways. As a general rule, a classical placement requires having a lot of space in the throat to fire all that air through and make those big rich sounds we associate with classical music. Having said that though, these techniques also work for ALL styles as all singing strengthens our voices. So enjoy this one as it's a double whammy of classical placement while also getting those high notes sailing out! In this video as well as a fab vocal routine, there is vocal coaching throughout to help you grow your voice. For the warm up, we start off as always with finding our nice deep breathing needed for singing with inhales, breath holds and exhales. For our SOVT (semi-occluded vocal tract - my absolute faves) we will sing LIP BUBBLES up the piano and then switch to TONGUE TRILLS for the way down. Next it's wonderful interval slides of thirds, fourths and fifths opening from MMM to AHH before we sing five note scales to the classic vowels - EH EE AYE OH OOH. It's a weird one after that which is tradiationally not a classical exercise, but it's a fab one as we alternate hard onset EH OH with a creak. Then it's a lovely scale based pattern to a MEE vowel before our last exercise, octave leaps to a MAW vowel. And then we round it all off with some final breathing. Fabulous!
