Steeped in history, Serampore College in West Bengal, India, holds a unique place in the educational landscape. Founded in 1818, it's the third-oldest college in India and one of the oldest continuously operating institutions. Established by the Serampore Quartet - William Carey, Joshua Marshman, Hannah Marshman and William Ward - it was originally intended to educate Indian Christians. Notably, Serampore College has two distinct entities: Faculty of Theology: A leading centre for Christian theological studies in India. Secular College: Offers programs in Arts, Science, and Commerce.
