LET'S GO SOMEWHERE

[Intro - Fast Fiddle and Mandolin] There's a road beyond the hill And a place I've never seen I've been thinking all this morning What if we just leave? [Verse 1] Found an old map in a drawer With a little town beside the shore Don't know anybody living there Don't know what we'll find Pack a jacket, grab the keys Leave the schedule where it is There's a whole lot more beyond The places we already know [Refrain] Let's go somewhere Somewhere we've never been Follow the road And see what waits around the bend Let's go somewhere Where the hills meet the sky We've got a little time And a thousand roads to try [Instrumental - Fiddle and Mandolin Reel] [Verse 2] Past the farms and open fields Past the bridges made of stone Saw a little village market Where the locals gathered round Bought some bread and fresh-made jam Found a trail beside the stream Every turn became a story That we never could have planned [Refrain] Let's go somewhere Somewhere we've never been Follow the road And see what waits around the bend Let's go somewhere Where the hills meet the sky We've got a little time And a thousand roads to try [Extended Instrumental - Celtic Fiddle Reel] [Verse 3 - Light Rhythmic Vocal] Maybe we'll find a mountain view Maybe just a quiet lane Maybe we'll get lost a little Then find our way again There's no prize for getting there No schedule we must keep Just a world beyond the window And a day that's ours to spend [Bridge - Acoustic Guitar Only] I've spent so many days Going where I had to go Following familiar roads To places I already know But there's a different kind of happiness In not knowing what's ahead When every mile becomes a question And the answer's up the road [Instrumental - Full Folk Band Returns] [Final Refrain] Let's go somewhere Where the morning turns to gold Find a little hidden corner And a story never told Let's go somewhere With the wind beside our door There's a whole wide world waiting And I wanna see some more Let's go somewhere Let the road decide We've got everything we need And a beautiful day outside [Outro - Fiddle and Acoustic Guitar] One more hill One more town One more road We haven't found Let's go somewhere [Final Fiddle Flourish]
