📦 Moxfield Decklist: https://moxfield.com/decks/nSpe_S4pIE... ⸻ This is a deck I brewed over a long period of time. I have done some play testing online which I enjoyed, so I am picking up this deck in paper! Here is how you play Mono Green Superfriends in EDH! (Playing lots of Planeswalkers!) This deck looks to play [[Pir, Imaginative Rascal]] and make use of his effect that increases the number of counters added to permanents we control. The goal is to play a planeswalker like [[Garruk, Unleashed]] (it enters with an additional loyalty counter) and follow it with a proliferate card like [[Thirsting Roots]] (this will add 2 loyalty counters because of Pir). This results in your planeswalker being 3 loyalty above it's printed value so it can likely can emblem! Now it's up to how you can harness the power of the emblems to try and win the game. You cannot always draw one of the 17 planeswalkers in the deck so there are also some powerful counters cards like [[Ouroboroid]] which will take over the game if left unanswered. It's important to mention, superfriends is pretty disliked archetype to play against in commander for a few reasons. One reason is that, with a lot of planewalkers that each have a lot of text, turns can take a while to go through. The other big reason for the dislike of superfriends is that the decks usually involve lots of board wipes since creatures can remove planeswalkers and board wipes don't hit planeswalkers. These two reasons can lead opponents to feeling like they are getting to play the game. This deck sidesteps some of these issues because in mono green there are not any board wipes. Additionally this deck cuts to the chase and speeds things up by ultimate'ing / embleming planewalkers the rapidly. However, I recommend watching the video and familiarizing yourself with the planeswalkers before playing the deck to save time making decisions on your turns (also it's recommended to try to plan ahead on your opponents turns). ⸻ ⏱️ Timestamps 00:00 - Intro & Overview 07:33 - Planeswalkers 20:56 - Ramp 26:03 - Token Producers 31:09 - Proliferate 34:18 - +1/+1 Counters 36:48 - Card Advantage 41:55 - Fogs 43:52 - Forests 44:09 - Interaction 47:31 - Budget Cuts 49:12 - Goldfishing 59:36 - Outro ⸻ If you enjoyed this video, subscribe to catch future videos!
