Waqt Ne Kiya - Cover Version By Rakesh

This song is one of the immortal songs from the immortal movie “Kagaz Ke Phool” This was one of the masterpieces from the stable of Gurudutt films. The lyrics were written by Kaifi Azmi and the music was by SD Burman. The singer was the great Geeta Dutt who sang it in a way only she could. This song is also remembered for the way it was filmed. The innovative cinematography by VK Murthy, with the natural sunlight through the gap in the roof was shot with great skill under Guru Dutt’s direction. The expressions on the face of Wahida Rehman and Guru Dutt, all combined together into a great unforgettable cinematic experience. It is no wonder that the cinematography of this movie in general, and this song in particular, is studied by all film schools the world over, even today. I loved singing this lovely song. I hope that you like it as well. For your listening pleasure. I have used the original track for this recording using AI to remove the vocals. I would suggest that for greater enjoyment use your headphones to listen to music.
