Well, it's been a long while since I uploaded... again. I've been incredibly busy lately with almost no time to do anything anymore. I did this almost a whole year ago and had it shown during the BBEX direct, but never had time to release it here until now. This arrange, along with the Angels Legend and Sariel theme arrange (soon to be released in a few months to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Touhou 1 and the series as a whole). This was going to be a part of a bigger project called "Akyu's Forgotten Score", which I might still do, but I decided that I would want to do that all in MML instead of it being samples in a DAW. the entire goal of the project was to recreate the entire original HRtP soundtrack with near perfect accuracy in sound and mixing. I was considering to use MDRV98 to make it faithful to the original, but plan on doing it in PMD instead with SSG drums as the Akyu albums are slightly different from the original versions (Sometimes very different with completely new things and even new songs in some cases). I had this idea for many years, but never got to really pull it off well until now. Anyways, this arrange won't be a part of that project as I want these to be able to be played on actual PC-9821 hardware (The angels legend arrange would be possible to remake in MML without much difference, but this would be impossible considering it goes beyond the 6 FM channel limitation unless I were to somehow use PCM samples). Also, I kinda wanted to show this art of HRtP Reimu and Mima I did a long while ago, but I was busy with school and stuff and never got to show it outside of discord until now. If you notice something "wrong" with Mima, its intentional and is a reference to a graphical quirk in the game. Aside from that, I tried to make it look accurate to the PC-98 game covers, which I somehow replicated pretty well despite it being my first attempt in over 2 years when I last tried.
