Did you know that you can make Donuts in No Man's Sky? They give you a temporary buff that increases the amount of credits you earn by about 6,000%. In my game that comes out to around 10-18 million credits per scan. That adds up real fast. It's by far the fastest method to make credits that allows you to actually explore the game rather than making a farm sim. Although there are a lot of steps to make them, with a corvette and enough nutrient processors (kitchens) you can easily make them as well.
