Flight 19: The Famous Last Words Aren't in the Record

In 1945, five Navy bombers vanished off Florida, and their story became the founding legend of the Bermuda Triangle. You've probably heard their "last words." They're repeated in books, documentaries, and even on the U.S. Navy's own history website. They aren't in the official record. This documentary goes back to the Navy's 1945–46 board of investigation file at the National Archives — the radio logs, the testimony, the board's findings — and follows what the record shows about Flight 19, and about the flying boat that took off to find them and never came back.
