My First Day in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia — What a Place

My first full day exploring Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia! 🇲🇾 After spending a few weeks travelling around Vietnam, I've arrived in Kuala Lumpur, and today I'm just trying to get my bearings. No real plan, no organised tour. Just heading out on foot to see what I can find. I start in Bukit Bintang, figure out how to use Kuala Lumpur's public transport, stop for a Malaysian coffee, and eventually make my way to the famous Petronas Twin Towers and KLCC Park. Along the way, I meet some lovely people, get a little confused navigating the city, and discover just how impressive Kuala Lumpur really is. Later that evening, I head to Jalan Alor Food Street to experience one of KL's busiest night food markets. Plenty of food, colourful lights, enormous crowds, and a whole lot of heat! These are my genuine first impressions of Kuala Lumpur as an Australian travelling solo through Southeast Asia.
