CORGI Whizzwheels restoration: 267 Batmobile - A How To Guide

Restoring a Corgi Whizzwheels No. 267 Batmobile, in the Corgi range from 1966 until 1983. This is my second Batmobile build (or Batmobuild if you will) following my restoration of my father-in-law Phil's early model, but this is my first go at a later Whizzwheels version. This model belongs to John Silva who has entrusted me with his Batmobile to return to full functionality. It was in a worse shape than last time out though with this missing nearly all of its cockpit components as well as some broken internals. Of course everyone knows the Batmobile, particularly this one which is so iconic from the 1966 TV series. In this video, I guide you through the steps in restoring one of these models, with a few improvements on my previous effort (sorry Phil!) Corgi produced almost 5 million of these Batmobiles from October 1966, just nine months after the TV show began to air, and 1983. They were hugely popular and they are hugely valuable now in any condition as collectors snap them up. The Whizzwheels started appearing in 1973, replacing the hub and tyre arrangement of the earlier toys.
