taken from the album "I Ain't Yr House-N****r" also released on the LP "John Peel Session" both available on Wormer Bros. Records / https://donkey1.bandcamp.com/music DONKEY existed between 1992 and 1997. In that time they released two albums and four 7 inch singles., and released tracks on various compilation albums. Formed by Ajay Saggar, the band were a favourite of John Peel who gave them a session in 1995. The label Guided Missile Recordings started solely for the purpose of releasing Donkey, but when onto become an established indie label. Compatriots of Dog Faced Hermans and The Ex, Donkey was an integral part if the squat-centered, politically-minded Dutch punk scene. An omnivorous beast, agitated, angular post-punk sprinted through Donkey's DNA, but they also mastered billowy shoegaze, deep dub, sample-based yuks, and even merciless drum'n'bass.
