He is poised to become the first Muslim member of the US Senate. In the midterm elections held in Michigan on November 3, Democratic candidate Abdul El-Sayed defeated Republican candidate Mike Rogers. His victory is being considered significant for Muslim representation in American politics. But Abdul El-Sayed also has a special connection to India. He has a family connection to Bhatkal, a small coastal town in Karnataka. This connection is through his wife, Dr. Sara Jukaku. Dr. Sara is a psychiatrist by profession. She was born and raised in Michigan, USA, but her family roots are in Bhatkal, in the Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka. Thus, Abdul El-Sayed's victory has brought this small Indian town into the spotlight. इसलिए सब्सक्राइब करें और बने रहें ज़ीउत्तरप्रदेश उत्तराखंड के साथ | Zee UPUK is India's most trusted Hindi News Channel with 24 hour coverage.
