For the longest time, Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled was one of those games that PC players could only dream of experiencing natively. Released back in 2019, CTR Nitro-Fueled brought back the magic of the original Crash Team Racing while completely rebuilding the experience with beautiful graphics, incredible tracks, tons of characters, customization options, and an insane amount of content. It was everything fans could have wanted from a modern remake of a beloved kart racing classic.
But there was always one thing missing: an official PC release.
Despite being available on consoles, PC players were left watching from the sidelines, wishing they could experience the game on their own hardware, with the freedom of PC gaming, higher frame rates, and all the benefits that come with the platform. And perhaps the biggest dream of all was being able to play CTR Nitro-Fueled at a smooth, consistent 60FPS.
For years, that seemed like something that would never happen.
Until the community stepped in.
Thanks to the incredible dedication, passion, and technical skills of the Crash Team Racing community, a PC port was made possible, bringing this amazing game to a platform that fans had been waiting for since its release. And the best part? 60FPS!
Think about that for a moment. A game that so many people had only imagined playing on PC, a game that never officially received a PC release, is now playable through the hard work of dedicated fans. Being able to race through tracks like Crash Cove, Polar Pass, Tiny Arena, Electron Avenue, and so many other iconic locations at 60 frames per second is something that would have sounded almost unbelievable a few years ago.
And 60FPS makes such a huge difference in a racing game. The movement feels smoother, the gameplay feels more responsive, drifting and boosting feel fantastic, and the entire experience feels closer to what many PC players had always hoped CTR Nitro-Fueled could be. Seeing those colorful tracks and chaotic races running so smoothly is genuinely special.
What makes this even more impressive is that it represents everything great about gaming communities. Sometimes, when developers and publishers leave something behind, passionate fans refuse to let it disappear. They put in the time, effort, research, and countless hours of work to make something that other fans once thought was impossible.
This is more than just getting another game on PC. It's about seeing a community turn a long-standing dream into reality.
Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled at 60FPS on PC. Something we wished for, something we thought we'd never officially get, and something the community actually made happen.
Huge respect to everyone involved in making this possible. Your work has given PC players the opportunity to experience one of the greatest kart racing games ever made in a way many of us had been dreaming about for years.
Sometimes the fans really do make the impossible possible.
