Two years ago, I moved from Australia to Ireland, and since then I've built a life here. I got a job, made friends, bought my first home, and started imagining my future in Ireland. But even though Ireland feels like home, I still sometimes feel like an outsider. In this video, I'm reflecting on what it means to build a life in a country you didn't grow up in, the difference between feeling at home somewhere and feeling like you truly belong, and why I don't think I'll ever feel completely Irish. As an English woman living in Ireland with Irish heritage, I've been thinking a lot about identity, belonging, and whether you ever stop feeling like you've moved somewhere new. Maybe you can love a country, put down roots, and imagine spending the rest of your life there without ever feeling like you completely belong. Have you ever moved to another country and felt this way? I'd love to hear your experiences in the comments. 🤍 📍 County Wicklow, Ireland #Ireland #MovingToIreland #BritishInIreland
