Extended hands: Ann Vučić

The first documentary film in the series Extended hands is dedicated to Ann Vučić, a Croatian woman from Cerno who lives in Chicago with her family. Based on her own experiences and many others’ testimonies, she has been tirelessly promoting Međugorje and its fruits in the United States for 25 years, bringing a large number of pilgrims from the U.S. to Međugorje every year. Her family, when Ann was just a year and a half old, was forced to seek safety outside their home due to the harsh circumstances that hit the Herzegovina region at the start of World War II, just to preserve their lives. This is the story of many families from this area who suffered under the plague of communism. Ann’s family found safety in Chicago. This story is a kind of contribution to the fruits that have grown on the soil of Međugorje, with more than 50 million people who have visited Međugorje from June 25, 1981, until today. There are countless examples of pilgrims responding to the call of the Queen of Peace to be her "extended hands" and bear witness to the profound changes in their lives. The screenwriter and director is Tatjana Rau, cinematographers Dario Godič and Nikola Duper, assistant director Damir Ljubičić, producers Vedran Vidović (for ICMM), Ana Šaronja (for HRT), authors of the music and the title song of the series "There Are Good People" - Olja Dešić and Zvonimir Pavičić. The project editors are the director of the Međugorje Information Center Vedran Vidović and the acting editor of the Independent Department Program for Croats outside the Republic of Croatia at HRT, Vladimir Brnardić.
