What Do You Know About Our Company?

What do you know about our company?” is one of those interview questions candidates are often told to prepare for. But what does the answer actually tell us? In this video, I look at what this question is really testing, why knowing company facts doesn’t necessarily tell you whether someone can do the job, and how interviewers can ask better questions to understand a candidate’s motivation and suitability for the role. I also talk about interview preparation from both sides of the table — because candidates should prepare, but interviewers should too. I’m Karisha, an experienced HR professional, and on Karisha Talks HR we have practical conversations about HR, recruitment, management and real workplace situations. What do you think — is “What do you know about our company?” still a useful interview question? Let me know in the comments. #hr #humanresources #recruitment #interviews #KarishaTalksHR #ukworkforce
