I returned to the countryside to raise fish, but the pandemic caused me to lose everything After my accident, I returned to my hometown with one leg that would never be the same. I thought I could start over with a small pond — I bought fingerlings, fed them every day, and hoped for a good season. But three months later, the fish floated up dead across the entire pond. The rain at the end of summer and the beginning of autumn kept falling, and after every storm, more fish died. I didn't know why — I only knew I had to do something. So I cut down banana trees and bamboo, built a small raft with my own hands, and every day I went out to scoop the dead fish so the water wouldn't rot. One broken leg. One bamboo raft.
