2025 Public Service Recognition Week

What does public service mean to you? At the Hobby School, public service and civic engagement are core to fulfilling our mission. This week, May 4-10, we join the Partnership for Public Service to honor those who serve our communities at all levels of government. For our students and alumni, public service is about making a difference. It's a crucial component of a thriving democracy. The Hobby School is a training ground for the next generation of public service leaders, helping them gain the necessary skills and ethical framework to navigate evolving challenges. We are inspired by Hobby School alumni's impact on various issues, from public transportation and infrastructure to education and public safety. We celebrate their contributions and commitment to carrying forward the legacy of our school's namesake, former Texas Lieutenant Governor Bill Hobby. Happy Public Service Recognition Week!
