Easiest to remove hysteroscopically FIGO Type 1 - Less than 50% intramural extension: Less than half of the fibroid extends into the myometrium. Still largely intracavitary; suitable for hysteroscopic resection. FIGO Type 2 - Greater than 50% intramural extension: More than half of the fibroid extends into the myometrium. Deeper into the myometrium; may need combined hysteroscopic and laparoscopic approach. #ultrasound #fibroiduterus #gynecology
