A Few Trains In & Around Greensboro NC Featuring BNSF Power & A Reroute 6/17/2026

A collection of mostly intermodal trains in the Greensboro area while doing some railfanning and model train operating with my friend Francisco. Some of the highlights this day would bring would be a trio of BNSF ES44C4’s on NS 24X, an older ES44DC leading 28R, and a reroute train NS M89. NS M89 is an extra section of Detroit MI to East Point GA NS 189. This train normally hauls new automobiles between Detroit to the Atlanta area via the former CNOTP through Chattanooga. On this day however it is traveling over the former Southern Railway main due to a derailment near Oakdale TN.
