Here I present to you a Vintage Hoover Elite 200 upright vacuum (from 1991), model U4467, that I found sitting in the back of a closet at where I work gathering dust, and since I'm a huge fan of these vacuums and didn't want to see it go to waste, I offered to take it home and clean it up and make sure everything was working right. The Elite series Hoover's debuted back in the late 80s and soon became the successor to the legendary Convertible series, and its popularity rose fast, because of how lightweight & powerful they were. This does have the option of an attachment converter which attaches on the bottom of the machine so you can use tools. It features a 5 amp motor with direct air design and takes Hoover Type A bags (this example is running the Hepa bags that are available but a big pricey but worth it in the filtration and increased performance). The suction is not the best (especially in tool mode), but the airflow is fantastic, and the agitation is amazing for a machine that has its original single row brush roll. My only complaints about this machine is that it's quite loud when in use, and can sometimes be very vulnerable when using since it's entirely made out of plastic. Overall, I absolutely love this vacuum and is certainly better than anything Hoover makes today.
