Today, I’m sharing what I eat in Okinawa, Japan.
After work, I made a simple Okinawan homemade dinner with ninjin shirishiri, ara-jiru fish soup, and mozuku seaweed with vinegar.
For lunch, I also made somen champuru, a simple Okinawan-style stir-fried noodle dish.
Okinawan food is often known for being healthy and simple.
I’m not a nutrition expert, but I feel like Okinawan home cooking often uses ingredients like vegetables, tofu, seaweed, fish, miso, and eggs.
These meals are not fancy restaurant dishes, but they are the kind of comforting home-cooked meals people eat in everyday life.
I’m also trying to cook at home more often to take care of my health and save money for my future travels.
I hope this video gives you a small look into real Okinawan home cooking and daily life in Japan.
What kind of local home-cooked dishes do you eat in your country?
Please let me know in the comments!
Thank you so much for watching☺️
