Textual commentary below.
Observations based on Major Nelson's earlier videos:
Observation A: Usually attacks on both flanks with colonel + captain + scout.
Observation B: Usually spreads out top 4 units across the board with Marshall generally be at the off-attack center.
Observation C: Bluffcovers medium units as long as real cover is close.
Observation D: Hardly ever bombs in front rows. Hardly ever directly adjacent.
05m35s
General catches me by surprise. Only a miner gain for him. Seems unacceptable ➝ Expecting a lotto to compensate.
05m53s
Trade against unknown general also catches me by surprise. Quick game if I had Marshall here.
07m49s
Another little risky move ➝ getting nervous now. If that colonel goes on rampage it is game over.
10m11s
Dumb move on my end. Observation A ➝ unlikely cover was more than a colonel ➝ could have won captain here. Did not want to risk losing bomb though ➝ want a narrow board.
10m20s
Observation A ➝ Unlikely to be higher than a colonel.
11m38s
Observation B + revealed general and colonels ➝ Marshall is a little right of center. There we go.
11m45s
No reward. March on.
12m20s
Again no reward. Two majors exposed ➝ need to trade asap.
13m55s
Observation D + captain advantage ➝ Calculated risk.
14m50s
Actually expecting Marshall there. Would have blind-spy'd it ➝ did not come to it. Confirmation if possible ➝ Opportunity granted. Back row scout part of flag decoy ➝ Choose already moved scout.
15m09s
Failed here. My major was already exposed. unnecessary scout loss.
15m32s
Hesitated to bluff spy as marshall ➝ Unnecessary risk.
15m43s
That unit behind his major is likely a scout. The unit in left center lane has not moved and was placed between two scouts ➝ likely not a scout ➝ escape plan = left.
16m28s - 17m45s
Observation B ➝ Marshall still likely behind lake ➝ Release major.
18m15s - 19m45s
Desire to confirm Marshall out of two suspects ➝ Bluff with miner as potential marshall along with major.
One of these units started up front ➝ want either the other or one behind lake. Major Nelson counteracted well.
21m54s
Same situation as 15m43s ➝ highest unit is a major there.
23m19s
Got our opening here and locked the situation ➝ bring in bluff-miner.
23m42s
The unit moving to the right is our prime marshall suspect along with the unit directly in front of it.
The unit to the left is at most a captain and higher than a sergeant.
The right lane covering unit is likely the spy.
Controlled situation.
23m53s
Key moment. Only two marshall suspects + captain and lietenant advantage ➝ Calculated risk with major.
25m00s - 25m32s
Key moment continued. Marshall suspect 2 comes in. Marshall suspect 1 covering our target.
Observation D + captain and lietenant advantage ➝ Calculated risk ➝ Very rewarding.
27m05s - 27m11s
Two majors were on left side of board ➝ that is likely final major.
Got to protect our own major first ➝ scout suspect 2 first.
27m15s
Incoming major ➝ marshall exposure justified ➝ make a run for it.
27m33s
Justified lotto move by Major Nelson. Just in time to save known lieutenant next to it.
28m05s
Final major down. Marshall very likely identified. Units are positioned well. Game under control.
32m45s
Only his final scout could breach the right flank here. Marshall close enough though.
