*FLOCK | Digital Photobash Painting — BAM VFX* A long time ago, at a career far, far away… I played hooky from work in Colorado. Near Garden of the Gods, I came across a landscape completely transformed by frost. Everything seemed frozen in place, so I grabbed my camera and started collecting reference photos. Years later, those frozen plants became custom Photoshop brushes—and eventually the foundation for **FLOCK**. This piece started as a simple brush test and evolved into a study of light, shadow, texture, and atmosphere. I wanted to step away from the dark purples and heavy shadows I normally gravitate toward and go to the opposite extreme: a bright, strange, almost purgatorial landscape inspired partly by salt flats, snow, dreams, and pareidolia. Photo textures became terrain. Frozen foliage became brushes. Clouds and mysterious orbs became travelers through an unfamiliar world. That's one of my favorite things about digital photobashing: an ordinary photograph taken years ago can become part of a place that never existed. *FLOCK* is available as prints and merchandise through BAMVFX.com.
